Abstract: Let X be a finite simply connected CW complex of dimension n. The loop space homology H∗(OmegaX;mathbbQ) is the universal enveloping algebra of a graded Lie algebra LX isomorphic with pi∗−1(X)otimesmathbbQ. Let QXsubsetLX be a minimal generating subspace, and set alpha=limsupifraclogscriptsizerkpii(X)i. Theorem: If dimLX=infty and limsup(dim(QX)k)1/k<limsup(dim(LX)k)1/k then sum_{i=1}^{n-1} {rk} pi_{k+i}(X) = e^{(alpha + epsilon_k)k} hspace{1cm} {where} epsilon_k o 0 {as} k o infty. In particular displaystylesumi=1n−1rkpik+i(X) grows exponentially in k.
