Abstract: It is proved that for any free -modules and of finite rank on some -algebraized space a extit{degenerate} bilinear -morphism induces a extit{non-degenerate} bilinear -morphism , where and are the extit{orthogonal} sub--modules associated with and , respectively. This result generalizes the finite case of the classical result, which states that given two vector spaces and , paired into a field , the induced vector spaces and have the same dimension. Some related results are discussed as well.
