Abstract: Let and be two collections of Brauer Severi surfaces (resp. conics) over a field . We show that the subgroup generated by the in is the same as the subgroup generated by the iff is birational to . Moreover in this case and represent the same class in , the Grothendieck ring of -varieties. The converse holds if . Some of the above implications also hold over a general noetherian base scheme.
