Abstract: We prove the three embeddedness results as follows. (mi) Let Gamma2m+1 be a piecewise geodesic Jordan curve with 2m+1 vertices in mathbbRn, where m is an integer geq2. Then the total curvature of Gamma2m+1<2mpi. In particular, the total curvature of Gamma5<4pi and thus any minimal surface SigmasubsetmathbbRn bounded by Gamma5 is embedded. Let Gamma5 be a piecewise geodesic Jordan curve with 5 vertices in mathbbHn. Then any minimal surface SigmasubsetmathbbHn bounded by Gamma5 is embedded. If Gamma5 is in a geodesic ball of radius fracpi4 in mathbbS+n, then SigmasubsetmathbbS+n is also embedded. As a consequence, Gamma5 is an unknot in mathbbR3, mathbbH3 and mathbbS+3. (mii) Let Sigma be an m-dimensional proper minimal submanifold in mathbbHn with the ideal boundary partialinftySigma=Gamma in the infinite sphere mathbbSn1=partialinftymathbbHn. If the M{"o}bius volume of Gamma widetildevol(Gamma)<2vol(mathbbSm1), then Sigma is embedded. If widetildevol(Gamma)=2vol(mathbbSm1), then Sigma is embedded unless it is a cone. (miii) Let Sigma be a proper minimal surface in hr. If Sigma is vertically regular at infinity and has two ends, then Sigma is embedded.
