Abstract: Let $hatmathfrakg$ be an affine Lie algebra of type 1. We give a PBW basis for the quantum affine algebra $U_q(hatmathfrakg)$ with respect to the triangular decomposition of $hatmathfrakg$ associated with the imaginary positive root system.
