Given a closed pure 3-braid, the author investigates when the 3-manifold obtained by integral Dehn surgery on the link obtained as closure of the braid is simply connected.NEWLINENEWLINEThe principal tool used is the notion of \(n\)-Artin presentations of fundamental groups of 3-manifolds.
