Abstract: We consider the self-normalized sums Tn=sumi=1nXiYi/sumi=1nYi, where Yi:igeq1 are non-negative i.i.d. random variables, and Xi:igeq1 are i.i.d. random variables, independent of Yi:igeq1. The main result of the paper is that each subsequential limit law of T_niscontinuousforanynondegenerateX_1withfiniteexpectation,ifandonlyifY_1$ is in the centered Feller class.
