Abstract: We show that a strongly

l a m b d a

-spirallike function of order

can be extended to a

s i n (p i a l p h a / 2)

-quasiconformal automorphism of the complex plane for

- p i / 2 < l a m b d a < p i / 2

and

0 < a l p h a < 1

with

| l a m b d a | < p i a l p h a / 2.

In order to prove it, we provide several geometric characterizations of a strongly

l a m b d a

-spirallike domain of order

a l p h a .

We also give a concrete form of the mapping function of the standard strongly

l a m b d a

-spirallike domain

a l p h a .

A key tool of the present study is the notion of

l a m b d a

-argument, which was developed by Y. C. Kim and the author.
