Abstract: Let C be a smooth projective curve over mathbbFq with function field K, E/K a nonconstant elliptic curve and phi:mathcalEoC its minimal regular model. For each PinC such that E has good reduction at P, i.e., the fiber mathcalEP=phi1(P) is smooth, the eigenvalues of the zeta-function of mathcalEP over the residue field kappaP of P are of the form qP1/2eihetaP,qPeihetaP, where qP=qdeg(P) and 0lehetaPlepi. The goal of this note is to determine given an integer Bge1, the number of PinC where the reduction of E is good and such that deg(P)leB and .
