Abstract: Let q be a prime power. For u=(u1,dots,un),v=(v1,dots,vn)inmathbbFq2n let langleu,vangle:=sumi=1nuiqvi be the Hermitian form of mathbbFq2n. Fix an nimesn matrix M over mathbbFq2. We study the case k=0 of the set mathrmNumk(M):=langleu,MuanglemiduinmathbbFq2,langleu,uangle=k. When M has coefficients in mathbbFq we study the set mathrmNum0(M)q:=langleu,MuanglemiduinmathbbFqnsubseteqmathbbFq. The set mathrmNum1(M) is the numerical range of M, previously introduced in a paper by Coons, Jenkins, Knowles, Luke and Rault (case q a prime pequiv3pmod4) and by myself (arbitrary q). We study in details mathrmNum0(M) and mathrmNum0(M)q when n=2. If q is even, mathrmNum0(M)q is easily described for arbitrary n.
