Abstract: Let be a prime number, a split connected reductive group defined over a -adic field, and a choice of pro--Iwahori subgroup. Let be an algebraically closed field of characteristic and the pro--Iwahori--Hecke algebra over associated to . In this note, we compute the action of on and when the root system of is irreducible. We also give some partial results in the general case.
