Abstract: We study the lq lq symmetry integral q q, hinspace say If, of some arithmetic functions f:NightarrowR; we obtain from lower bounds of If (for a large class of arithmetic functions f) lower bounds for the lq lq Selberg integral q q hinspace of f, say Jf (both these integrals give informations about f in almost all the short intervals [xh,x+h], when Nlexle2N). In particular, when hinspace f=dk, the divisor function (having Dirichlet series hinspace zetak, with hinspace zeta hinspace the Riemann zeta function), where kge3 is integer, we give lower bounds for the Selberg integrals, say hinspace Jk=Jdk, of the hinspace dk. We apply elementary methods (Cauchy inequality to get Large Sieve type bounds) in order to give If lower bounds.
