Faithfulness of the Fock representation of the C^*-algebra generated by q_ij-commuting isometries

Abstract: We consider

satisfying the relations

. This

C^{*}

-algebra is shown to be nuclear. We prove that the Fock representation of

I s o m_{q_{i j}}

is faithful. Further we describe an ideal in

I s o m_{q_{i j}}

which is isomorphic to the algebra of compact operators.
