Abstract: Let be an algebraic number of degree and let be the algebraic number field . When is a unit of such that , we consider the irreducible polynomial such that . Let be the irrreducible binary form of degree associated to under the condition . For each positive integer , we want to exhibit an effective upper bound for the solutions of the diophantine inequation . We achieve this goal by restricting ourselves to a subset of units which we prove to be sufficiently large as soon as the degree of is .
