Abstract: Let d be a square-free integer, mathbfk=mathbbQ(sqrtd,,i) and i=sqrt1. Let mathbfk1(2) be the Hilbert 2-class field of mathbfk, mathbfk2(2) be the Hilbert 2-class field of mathbfk1(2) and G=mathrmGal(mathbfk2(2)/mathbfk) be the Galois group of mathbfk2(2)/mathbfk. Our goal is to give necessary and sufficient conditions to have G metacyclic in the case where d=pq, with p and q are primes such that pequiv1pmod8 and qequiv5pmod8 or pequiv1pmod8 and qequiv3pmod4.
