Abstract: Revisiting a construction due to Vigneras, we exhibit small pairs of orbifolds and manifolds of dimension 2 and 3 arising from arithmetic Fuchsian and Kleinian groups that are Laplace isospectral (in fact, representation equivalent) but nonisometric.
