Abstract: We study infinite time blow-up phenomenon for the half-harmonic map flow egin{equation}label{e:main00} left{egin{array}{ll} u_t = -(-Delta)^{frac{1}{2}}u + left(frac{1}{2pi}int_{mathbb{R}}frac{|u(x)-u(s)|^2}{|x-s|^2}ds ight)uquad ext{ in }mathbb{R} imes (0, infty), u(cdot, 0) = u_0quad ext{ in }mathbb{R}, end{array} ight. end{equation} with a function u:mathbbRimes[0,infty)omathbbS1. Let q1,cdots,qk be distinct points in mathbbR, there exist an initial datum u0 and smooth functions xij(t)oqj, 0<muj(t)o0, as to+infty, j=1,cdots,k, such that the solution uq of Problem ( ef{e:main00}) has the form egin{equation*} u_q =omega_infty +sum_{j= 1}^k left(omega (frac{x-xi_j(t)}{mu_j(t)} )-omega_infty ight)+ heta(x, t), end{equation*} where omega is the canonical least energy half-harmonic map, , heta(x,t)o0 as to+infty, uniformly away from the points qj. In addition, the parameter functions muj(t) decay to 0 exponentially.
