Abstract: For an integral convex polytope mathcalPsubsetmathbbRd, we recall LmathcalP(n)=|nmathcalPcapmathbbZd| the Ehrhart polynomial of mathcalP. Let gr(mathcalP) be the rth coefficients of LmathcalP(n) for r=0,ldots,d. Martin Henk and Makoto Tagami gave lower bounds on the coefficients gr(mathcalP) in terms of the volume of mathcalP. They proved that these bounds are best possible for rin1,2,d2. We show that these bounds are also optimal for r=3 and dr even and we give a new best possible bound for r=d3.
