The Łojasiewicz exponent in non-degenerate deformations of surface singularities

Abstract: We prove the constancy of the {L}ojasiewicz exponent in non-degenerate $mu$-constant deformations of surface singularities. This is a positive answer to a question posed by B. Teissier.
