Abstract: Let p be an odd prime, let K=mathbbQ(epsilon) where epsilon is a primitive cubic root of unity, and let L be the Kummer field mathbbQleft(epsilon,sqrt[3]alphaight). In this paper we obtain a characterization of the splitting behavior of the symbol algebras left(fracalpha,pK,epsilonight) and left(fracalpha, phpK,epsilonight), where hp is the order in the class group Clleft(Light) of a prime ideal of mathcalOL which divides pmathcalOL.
