Abstract: Let be a prime power and . A - design, or simply a subspace design, is a pair , where is a subset of the set of all -dimensional subspaces of , with the property that each -dimensional subspace of is contained in precisely elements of . Subspace designs are the -analogues of balanced incomplete block designs. Such a design is called block-transitive if its automorphism group acts transitively on . It is shown here that if and is a block-transitive - design then is trivial, that is, is the set of all -dimensional subspaces of .
