Abstract: We show that if $lambd{a}^{<kappa}=lambda$ and every normal filter on $P_{k}appalambda$ can be extended to a $kappa$-complete ultrafilter then so does every $kappa$-complete filter on $lambda$. This answers a question of Gitik.
