Abstract: Let Lnnge0 be the sequence of Lucas numbers given by L0=2,L1=1 and Ln+2=Ln+1+Ln for all nge0. In the first paper, for an integer dgeq2 which is square-free, we show that there is at most one value of the positive integer x participating in the Pell equation x2βˆ’dy2=pm1 which is a product of two Lucas numbers, with a few exceptions that we completely characterize. Let Pmmge0 be the sequence of Pell numbers given by P0=0,P1=1 and Pm+2=2Pm+1+Pm for all mge0. In the second paper, for an integer dgeq2 which is square free, we show that there is at most one value of the positive integer x participating in the Pell equation x2βˆ’dy2=pm1 which is a product of two Pell numbers.
