Abstract: The space is the Stone space of the -saturated Boolean algebra of cardinality . It exists provided that , and is characterised topologically as the unique -Parovichenko space of weight . Under the Continuum Hypothesis, coincides with . This paper investigates questions related to the Stone-Cech compactification of spaces , extending corresponding results obtained by Fine & Gillman and Comfort & Negrepontis for the space . We show that for every point of , the Stone-Cech remainder of is a -Parovichenko space of cardinality which admits a family of disjoint clopen sets. As a corollary we get that it is consistent with CH that the Stone-Cech remainders of are all homeomorphic.
