Abstract: We consider the quadruples where is a unital, associative -algebra represented on the -vector space , , is a -grading operator which commutes with and anticommutes with . We prove that the collection of such quadruples, denoted by , is a monoidal category. We consider the monoidal subcategory of objects of for which . We show that there is a covariant functor . Let be the differential graded algebra defined by Connes ([Con2]) and denotes the category of differential graded algebras over the field . We show that , given by , is a monoidal functor. To show that is not trivial we explicitly compute it for the cases of compact manifold and the noncommutative torus along with the associated cohomologies.
