Abstract: In a written correspondence with A. Livingston, ErdH{o}s conjectured that for any arithmetical function , periodic with period , taking values in when and when , the series does not vanish. This conjecture is still open in the case or when . In this paper, we obtain the characteristic function of the limiting distribution of for any positive integer and ErdH{o}s function with the same parity as . Moreover, we show that the ErdH{o}s conjecture is true with "probability" one.
