Abstract: We prove a rigidity theorem for semi-arithmetic Fuchsian groups: If $Gamm{a}_1$, $Gamm{a}_2$ are two semi-arithmetic lattices in $mathrmPSL(2,mathbbR)$ virtually admitting modular embeddings and $fcolonGamm{a}_{1}oGamm{a}_2$ is a group isomorphism that respects the notion of congruence subgroups, then $f$ is induced by an inner automorphism of $mathrmPGL(2,mathbbR)$.
