Abstract: Let be a field of characteristic , let be a finite - group, where is an odd prime, and let be the Dade group of endo-permutation -modules. It is known that is detected via deflation--restriction by the family of all sections of which are elementary abelian of rank . In this paper, we improve this result by characterizing as the limit (with respect to deflation--restriction maps and conjugation maps) of all groups where runs through all sections of which are either elementary abelian of rank or extraspecial of order and exponent .
