Abstract: Necessary and sufficient conditions for an Ore extension to be a {
m PI} ring are given in the case is an injective endomorphism of a semiprime ring satisfying the {
m ACC} on annihilators. Also, for an arbitrary endomorphism of , a characterization of Ore extensions which are {
m PI} rings is given, provided the coefficient ring is noetherian.
