Abstract: We study the action of a real reductive group on a real submanifold of a Kahler manifold . We suppose that the action of a compact connected Lie group with Lie algebra extends holomorphically to an action of the complexified group and that the -action on is Hamiltonian. If is compatible there exists a gradient map where is a Cartan decomposition of . In this paper we describe compact orbits of parabolic subgroups of in term of the gradient map .
