Formal deformations of certain representations of the Lie algebra of a generalized Poincaré group
Let \(G\) be the generalized Poincaré group \(\mathbb R^{n+1} \times SO_0(n,1)\) and let \(\mathfrak g\) be its Lie algebra. In this paper, the author determines the formal deformations of representations of \(\mathfrak g\) corresponding to massive and massless representations of \(G\) with helicity \(0\). Let \(\pi_m\), with \(m\geq 0\), be the representation of \(G\) with mass \(m\) and helicity \(0\). Explicit realizations of \(\pi_m\) in \(L^2(\mathbb R^n)\) were given by the author in [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I, Math. 325, 803-806 (1997; Zbl 0883.22016)]. The method used here consists in reducing the problem, by means of the Weyl transform, to the determination of some deformations of Lie algebra morphisms \(\varphi_m: \mathfrak g \rightarrow N \), where \(N\) is a certain function space on \(\mathbb R^{2n}\) which is an associative algebra for the Moyal product. Deformations of the \(\varphi_m\) are given by the explicit computation of \(H(\mathfrak g,N)\).
