On Chvàtal's conjecture and a conjecture on families of signed sets

Chvàtal's conjecture claims that among the maximal intersecting subfamilies of a hereditary family, there is a star. The author suggests a weighted version of it, and gives a proof of the new conjecture for weighted families having a dominant element.
