Abstract: I discuss how the factorization of the invariant trace used to define Chern-Simons branes in a space-time with a Chern-Simons action for a space-time group introduces new relationships between the coupling constants of the extended objects of diverse dimensions, and an enhanced gauge invariance for a suitable choice of these coupling constants, owing to an extension of the Inflow mechanism. I also comment on the possible relevance of these models in fundamental physics.
