Abstract: Andrews introduced the partition function overlineCk,i(n), called singular overpartition, which counts the number of overpartitions of n in which no part is divisible by k and only parts equivpmipmodk may be overlined. We study the parity and distribution results for overlineCk,i(n), where k>3 and 1leqileqleftlfloorfrack2ightfloor. More particularly, we prove that for each integer ellgeq2 depending on k and i, the interval left[ell,fracell(3ell+1)2ight] Big(resp. left[2ell1,fracell(3ell1)2ight]Big) contains an integer n such that overlineCk,i(n) is even (resp. odd). Finally we study the distribution for overlineCp,1(n) where pgeq5 be a prime number.
