Abstract: Ball's complex plank theorem states that if v1,dots,vn are unit vectors in mathbbCd, and t1,dots,tn, non-negative numbers satisfying sumk=1ntk2=1, then there exists a unit vector v in mathbbCd for which |langlevk, vangle|geqtk for every k. Here we present a streamlined version of Ball's original proof.
