Abstract: Let mathbbFqn be a finite field with qn elements. For a positive divisor r of qn−1, the element alphainmathbbFqn∗ is called extit{r-primitive} if its multiplicative order is (qn−1)/r. Also, for a non-negative integer k, the element alphainmathbbFqn is extit{k-normal} over mathbbFq if gcd(alphaxn−1+alphaqxn−2+ldots+alphaqn−2x+alphaqn−1,xn−1) in mathbbFqn[x] has degree k. In this paper we discuss the existence of elements in arithmetic progressions with being ri-primitive and at least one of the elements in the arithmetic progression being k-normal over mathbbFq. We obtain asymptotic results for general k,r1,dots,rm and concrete results when k=ri=2 for iin1,dots,m.
