For each subset

denote the closed two-sided ideal of

generated by all

T_{f} T_{g} - T_{g} T_{f}

with

It is known that

- the ideal of compact operators and

m a t h f r a k C I (C (m a t h b b B_{n})) = m a t h f r a k T .

Despite these ``extremal cases, $m a t h f r a k T$ does contain other non-trivial ideals. This paper gives a construction of a class of subsets $G$ of $L^{i n f t y}$ so that $m a t h c a l K s u b s e t n e q m a t h f r a k C I (G) s u b s e t n e q m a t h f r a k T .$
