Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to study Hom-Novikov algebras and Hom-Novikov-Poisson algebras, both of which were defined by Yau. In the paper, we give several constructions leading us to some interesting examples of Hom-Novikov algebras and Hom-Novikov-Poisson algebras. Also, we introduce the notion of quadratic Hom-Novikov algebras and provide some properties.
