Abstract: We show that there are strictly pseudoconvex, real algebraic hypersurfaces in that cannot be locally embedded into a sphere in for any . In fact, we show that there are strictly pseudoconvex, real algebraic hypersurfaces in that cannot be locally embedded into any compact, strictly pseudoconvex, real algebraic hypersurface.
