Abstract: We introduce a family of differential-reflection operators LambdaA,varepsilon acting on smooth functions defined on mathbbR. Here A is a Strum-Liouville function with additional hypotheses and varepsiloninmathbbR. For special pairs (A,varepsilon), we recover Dunkl's, Heckman's and Cherednik's operators (in one dimension). The spectral problem for the operators LambdaA,varepsilon is studied. In particular, we obtain suitable growth estimates for the eigenfunctions of LambdaA,varepsilon. As the operators LambdaA,varepsilon are mixture of d/dx and reflection operators, we prove the existence of an intertwining operator VA,varepsilon between LambdaA,varepsilon and the usual derivative. The positivity of VA,varepsilon is also established. Via the eigenfunctions of LambdaA,varepsilon, we introduce a generalized Fourier transform mathcalFA,varepsilon. An Lp-harmonic analysis for mathcalFA,varepsilon is developed when 0<pleq2over1+sqrt1varepsilon2 and 1leqvarepsilonleq1. In particular, an Lp-Schwartz space isomorphism theorem for mathcalFA,varepsilon is proved.
