Abstract: Let be a compact, 2-dimensional Riemannian manifold with nonpositive sectional curvature. Let be the Laplace-Beltrami operator corresponding to the metric on , and let be -normalized eigenfunctions of with eigenvalue , i.e. [ -Delta_g e_lambda = lambda^2 e_lambda. ] We prove [ left| int_{mathbb R} b(t) e_lambda (gamma(t)) , dt
ight| = o(1) quad ext{ as } lambda o infty ] where is a smooth, compactly supported function on and is a curve parametrized by arc-length whose geodesic curvature avoids two critical curvatures and for each . denotes the curvature of a circle with center taken to infinity along the geodesic ray in direction .
