Abstract: Let left(X,leftVertcdotightVertXight) and left(Y,leftVertcdotightVertYight) be Banach spaces over mathbbR, with X uniformly convex and compactly embedded into Y. The inverse iteration method is applied to solve the abstract eigenvalue problem A(w)=lambdaleftVertwightVertYpqB(w), where the maps A:XightarrowXstar and B:YightarrowYstar are homogeneous of degrees p1 and q1, respectively.
