Abstract: Let be a finite group, a prime, and the set of irreducible -Brauer characters of . Let be the largest integer such that divides for some . We show that for an explicitly given constant . We also study the analogous problem for the -parts of the conjugacy class sizes of -regular elements of finite groups.
