Abstract: We identify sharp spaces and prove quantitative and non-quantitative stability results for the logarithmic Sobolev inequality involving Wasserstein and

L^{p}

metrics. The techniques are based on optimal transport theory and Fourier analysis. We also discuss a probabilistic approach.
