Alternatives to Eisenhart lift in Randers-Finsler geometry

Abstract: In this article I discuss two alternatives to Eisenhart lift in Randers-Finsler geometry. I first cover preliminaries of mechanics, discussing Maupertuis principle and the constraint. Then I review the Eisenhart lift, demonstrate its limitations, and discuss the Jacobi metric, introducing Jacobi lift and Symmetry Replacement. I conclude by discussing the optical metric in this context, and the advantage of such alternatives in the study of Randers-Finsler gravity.
