Abstract: We study the

l^{p}

norms of a class of weighted mean matrices whose diagonal terms are given by

n^{a l p h a} / s u m_{i = 1}^{n} i^{a l p h a}

with

. The

l^{p}

norms of such matrices are known for

p g e q 2, (a l p h a + 1) p > 1

and

1 < p l e q 4 / 3, 1 / p l e q a l p h a l e q 1

. In this paper, we determine the

l^{p}

norms of such matrices for

p g e q 1.35, 0 l e q a l p h a l e q 1
