L² decay for the linearized Landau equation with the specular boundary condition

Abstract: In this paper, we develop an alternative approach to establish the decay estimate for the linearized Landau equation in a bounded domain with specular boundary condition. The proof is based on the methodology of proof by contradiction motivated by [Guo, Comm. Pure Appl. Math., 55(9):1104-1135, 2002] and [Guo, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal., 197(3):713-809, 2010].
