Abstract: Suppose D is a finite dimensional C*-algebra carrying a continuous action overlinePi of the circle group mathbbT. We study the quantum symmetry group of D, taking overlinePi into account. We show that they are braided compact quantum groups mathbbG over mathbbT. Here, the R-matrix, mathbbZimesmathbbZi(m,n)ozetamcdotninmathbbT for a fixed zetainmathbbT, governs the braided structure. In particular, if overlinePi is trivial, zeta=1 or D is commutative, then mathbbG coincides with Wang's quantum group of automorphisms of D. Moreover, we show that the bosonisation of mathbbG corresponds to the quantum symmetry group of the crossed product C*-algebra DtimesmathbbZ, where the mathbbZ-action is generated by overlinePizeta1.
