Abstract: Let us consider the quasilinear problem [ (P_varepsilon) left{ egin{array}{ll} - varepsilon^p Delta _{p}u + u^{p-1} = f(u) & hbox{in} Omega
ewline u>0 & hbox{in} Omega
ewline u=0 & hbox{on} partial Omega end{array} ight. ] where is a bounded domain in with smooth boundary, , , is a parameter and is a continuous function with , having a subcritical growth. We prove that there exists such that, for every , has at least solutions, possibly counted with their multiplicities, where is the Poincar'e polynomial of . Using Morse techniques, we furnish an interpretation of the multiplicity of a solution, in terms of positive distinct solutions of a quasilinear equation on , approximating .
