Abstract: For the flip action of mathbbZ2 on an n-dimensional noncommutative torus Aheta, where heta is an nimesn antisymmetric matrix, we show that the map i:mathrmK0(Aheta)ightarrowmathrmK0(AhetatimesmathbbZ2) induced by the natural inclusion map sends generators to a set of elements which can be extended to provide a set of generators of mathrmK0(AhetatimesmathbbZ2). This clarifies one crucial step in the computation of the K-theory of the C-algebra AhetatimesmathbbZ2 by Farsi and Watling in [FW93], and proves mathrmK0(AhetatimesmathbbZ2)congmathbbZ3cdot2n1, mathrmK1(AhetatimesmathbbZ2)=0. Our methods also provide an explicit basis of mathrmK0(AhetatimesmathbbZ2). As an application, for a simple n-dimensional torus Aheta, using classification techniques, we determine the isomorphism class of AhetatimesmathbbZ2 in terms of the isomorphism class of Aheta.
